Pelvic Symphony Physical Therapy makes a difference Helping you feel like yourself again with no limitations.

This practice was founded on our deep intention of love, respect, non-judgement and making the journey as pleasant as possible. We are passionate about providing treatment that is individualized to your personal needs and goals so that ultimately you feel like yourself again with no limitations.

Pelvic Symphony PT’s goal is to help both men and women feel comfortable with uncomfortable topics as well as feel comfortable in a pelvic floor physical therapy environment. As your PT, we want you to get the answers you’ve been looking for. We provide 1 on 1 client-centered care and treatment every session rather than cookie-cutter plans. We work together to find movements and exercises to help you feel better and more confident and also modifying the program when needed whether an exercise is not working well or is ready to be progressed.

Consent. Consent. Consent.

We want to remind all of our clients coming in that you are ALWAYS in control. We are mindful of providing consent for all types of treatment and you have the right to deny any assessment and treatment that does not feel comfortable to you. We will respect you and your body. We want pelvic floor physical therapy to be a positive experience rather than a negative one.

What to expect in your first visitWe want to hear your story.

At Pelvic Symphony PT, we are detectives searching for what the body needs to begin the journey of healing. We walk through a series of questions related to pain, bladder, bowel, and sexual function, past related history, medical and surgical history. We ask questions that will allow you to answer “yes” or “no” to sometimes uncomfortable topics to cut through the discomfort. We are looking for the big picture to define your physical therapy goals. We follow up with an assessment of how the body presents in front of us, how the body moves and the restrictions it places on you. It’s time to feel at home in your body again.

What should I expect at my first visit?

During our first session, we start with a discussion and asking questions relevant to any symptoms you are experiencing. We follow this with the assessment of the body including posture, breathing mechanics, coordination and mobility of the spine, pelvis, and hip as well as an exam of the pelvic floor. The assessment provides us with information on how to provide a treatment program that best suits your personal goals.

HOW MANY VISITS WILL I NEED TO FEEL BETTER?

Every individual’s duration is varied based on how long the symptoms have been present, the number of body regions to address, and consistency with exercises provided by Pelvic Symphony PT. We typically see clients for an average of 6-8 visits which may be more or less depending on the person.

Do I need an internal pelvic exam?

Not necessarily. Pelvic Symphony PT will provide an internal exam if indicated by subjective and objective information. However, this is also based only upon the individual’s consent. Once verbal and written consent are provided you are welcome to opt out at any time. We want to make sure your body feels respected and comfortable.

Can men benefit from pelvic floor PT?

Absolutely! Men also experience pelvic floor symptoms that may be related to pain, urinary, bowel, and sexual function. Reach out to Pelvic Symphony PT to see if we would be able to help whatever concerns you.

Can pelvic floor PT help with back or hip pain?

Yes. The function of the pelvic floor is directly involved in the back and hips and may be a contributing factor to both hip and low back pain. At Pelvic Symphony PT, we will educate you on the connection between the pelvic floor, back, and hips and work together to restore comfort.

Is pelvic floor PT safe if I’m pregnant or postpartum?

Yes! Pelvic Symphony PT is able to see you any time during your pregnancy and/or postpartum journey. While we do request clearance by your medical provider to provide an internal exam, we are still able to address other posture, breathing, strengthening and mobility to help you feel comfortable during each stage.

Will I need to do this for the rest of my life?

No, not typically. At Pelvic Symphony PT, we help you regain strength and mobility, function and independence so that you can manage your health at home. After completing PT, people will continue with exercises at home, but ongoing visits are needed if new issues arise or for maintenance and progression of exercises if desired.

Do you take insurance?

Pelvic Symphony PT is a cash-based practice and does not bill insurance. This allows us to provide a personalized, all hands-on, 1:1, one hour visits with your PT in a private treatment room without an aide taking over exercises. We are happy to provide you a detailed superbill that you can submit to your insurance for any available out-of-network benefits.

“Throughout my therapy, I felt supported and encouraged, and I saw real improvements in both my symptoms and my confidence. Her knowledge, patience, and genuine care made a meaningful difference in my recovery.” —Kit
